Using Touch Pro 2 in Brazil? Stock radio?
My friend is going to be studying abroad for a few months in Brazil and I was going to loan him my old Sprint Touch Pro 2 for his trip. From all the threads and stickies that I read, it doesn't sound like it will be a problem to use the phone once he buys a SIM to use in the phone, right? My main question is about the radio. When I was using the phone, I had it unlocked and flashed an upgraded radio that worked better in my area (Telus I believe). In order to get the SIM working for him, do I need to flash back to the original Sprint ROM and radio or am I fine with a different radio? Thanks for the help!

UPDATE: We found out that Brazil operates off of frequency 850/900/1800Mhz. Any suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (WP7 Beta Tester: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; HTC; HD7))
It'll still work, you'll probably get edge for data, however. |

my country has 900/1800 for GSM and 3G works fine on my sprint tp2 (the 3G is 2100 of course)
