Re: TP2 screen replacement

I have explored this problem before and at that time thought there were display/digitizer units on fleabay for around $80, but darned if I can find them now. Good luck with it - please let us know how it goes!

[used Sprint tp2's seem to be going for $150 and up. ]

Yes, though I think the average may have dropped $20 in the last half year or so... LOL :evil4:

Still pretty impressive when you consider what is out there competing.

Re: TP2 screen replacement

Finally got it done. Ended up using super glue because every other glue I tryed wasn't strong enough. Be VERY careful if you use superglue, I ended up using a little too much on and it oozed onto the front of the digitizer. I spent hours with fingernail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, and cottonballs trying to get it cleaned up. I got most of it and everything that is left is covered by the case I have it in.

A quick note to anyone attempting to do this. When you get to the step that you remove the digitizer and LCD from the front bezel it gets a little tricky. Be very careful and go slow, don't get impatient like I did or you'll crack the LCD. There is pretty strong adhesive above and below the LCD.

If you're looking for the parts here is a link to where I got my replacement digitizer and LCD: gadgetfix items - Get great deals on HTC, Samsung items on eBay Stores!
Picked up a digitizer for $15 and an LCD for $35.
