If I try to change keyboard it wouldn't change.
 

I have a Sprint Touch pro 2 and this problem I noticed happened when someone texted me and I added them to an existing contact and my keyboard changed to the onscreen keypad with numbers for no reason. I was unable to change it until waiting for a VERY long time.

I try to change it by selecting the arrow at the bottom middle where there is a keyboard picture and it's on it's right side.

Now I have the qwerty on screen keyboard set, but I want to set it to the compact keyboard and it would not work. (FYI the keypad won't work either it's not changing).

I never installed any custom keyboards after my last hard reset.
Soft reset does not solve my problem.

I am thinking of a hard reset, but wonder if anyone else know how to fix this or have this problem.

I could not find it there. I guess this is what my problem is? I just wonder how I even got the keypad with numbers on there stuck for quite a while like it was a glitch.

Also wonder what might have removed compact keyboard from the settings.
In the drop down I only see the words touch input.

try pressing the ABC button. jaja I'm starting to think that this is too much of a phone for u,uve asked more questions about it than anyone else. u should spend time in the settings menu before posting because 70% of what u asked is there.

So the keyboard just randomly changed to HTC number keypad and I can no longer change it to the keyboard view.

Lol yeah I asked many questions so I can get ahead as far as possible, and at the same time was messing with settings in the menu and found nothing, so I asked.

If you are using the 6.5 rom you don't have the little full keyboard if that's what you want. You should have all the others though which can be selected where bored said at start/settings/personal tab/input.

I enabled ABC and it doesn't seem to solve my problem. As you can see in the picture changing settings would not change the keyboard.

try switching through it until it changes otherwise u might have to do a hard reset. its possible that something u installed is conflicting with ur keyboard settings. what was the last thing u did before u noticed that this happened?

Last thing I installed was probably one of the EA games. I uninstalled drum kit ace. No fix.

looks like youre going to have to do a hard reset then, you can also use this opportunity to flash a different ROM because the stock ROM sucks. the possibility that this could be another stock rom bug cant be ruled out

i recommend THIS ROM and THIS ROM

you need to be unlocked to flash ROMs so goto This thread to get started.

Lol Eric I asked about roms before but since I wasn't able to decide I hard reset again that time and decided to stick with stock rom and thought it had the least bugs. I just liked it with CHT with the iphone set up. I guess I'll get a custom rom only when I totally decide.

As for Vins rom I hear many reviews about people not liking titanium over sense and it makes me think about not getting it.
And the other link you sent me looks like the stock rom but cleaned up kinda like good things2life but you can correct me if I am wrong, I don't understand spanish on his page lol.

you first post on this was you couldnt get it off of the number pad... now you have the keyboard..... so whats still seems to be the trouble

Like I told you somewhere in another post it switched again after like a few hours. And I didn't understand why it switched.

Why the link you gave me instead of the whole thread?

Does Vins Rom Change the radio version? If I put a stock rom back would the radio version be changed to stock again or would I need to do it manually?
I just don't want to brick my phone lol.

Also what is an Arcsoft MMS.cab he's talking about?
And in your post one of the fixes was a removed DM Router, is that a wifi hotspot app?

I will also need to know how to set phone name because I seen people say they couldn't do it, I will need to do it so that I can put in the correct serial to several apps that are not free.

whoa i actually didn't know he had updated the ROM again. that version does not have a radio and if it did it wouldn't brick ur device. task29 isn't necessary when ur upgrading from a stock rom. just hard reset it before u flash and then after the flash is complete hard reset again. and i may have to upgrade to this version myself.

I wonder why he included the radio version 2.37. And its better than the stock rom right? I hope winmospeed supports his rom on tp2.

How much free memory do you get on startup?

i havent flashed it yet but in his jan3 update it boots with about 96mb of RAM which is much more than the stock ROM, radio 2.37 was included because it provides the best battery life and signal strength than any other radio.

what is the stock radio version? I thought you said he didnt have any radio but i guess its part of the rom.
Will modifying the radio change the SAR rating also?

with good things2life cleanup i have about 103mb free ram on startup but i guess a custom rom would still be more stable wether it has less RAM on start up or not.

Lot of good advice given already, get back into settings as already stated, even a soft reset should enable your keyboard (prior to a hard reset), somethings obviously been left out here.

it'll settle your SIP keyboard issue for sure.
