What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

Is it recommended before or after unlocking it and/ or flashing to a different rom?

theres already a discussion about it in this thread:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...ng-method.html

and you even posted there too hence creating this thread and in the wrong section was 110% unnecessary. doesn't matter if unlocked or not and on vins latest neo there's very little need to overclock.

What do you mean on vins latest neo there's very little need to overclock?

I read that iwfratz overclocking software like winmospeed and possibly OCT 1.5 (if he made it) only works with GSM versions. I have a CDMA Sprint HTC TP2.

i have a sprint tp2 and ive used every oc method available, including oct and wimospeed. they all work but i suggest wimospeed

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

That is good news for me. Can you explain why wimospeed over OCT?

But overclocking it will still be an advantage at least slightly rather than no advantage, am I right?

that's correct

Yeah I will need to agree with you, but I would do it anyway just for "fun". Everytime you change roms do you need to overclock it again?

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

you have to redo it every soft reset, better that way actually

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

Better to do it what way? Soft reset or after changing roms? I don't know what you are saying.

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

after every soft reset because u don't want it to get frozen on an incompatible speed in which then ud have to do a hard reset to get it to boot again.

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

If you soft reset using the same rom, how will that be incompatible?
Or do you mean before soft reset? Or are you saying to adjust it after every soft reset for any changes so that it all works correct?

Re: What's the best overclocking tool for the Sprint TP2?

what i mean is whatever changes u make will not stick after a soft reset. if you overclock it too high (usually over 806mhz) it will freeze ,but if u have it set to apply a speed of over 806 after boot it will always freeze and u will then have to hard reset. hope u get it now
