mobile banking app

Is there no mobile banking app that works for any and all banks?! All I want to do is be able to check my current balances without going through all the secure log in through my browser. I know other platforms have mint, doesn't appear to be anything for winmo, I am running 6.5. I like my phone but this one issue is almost enough to make me consider an upgrade.

Re: mobile banking app

I think I tried that at one point and couldn't find my local bank in their list, I don't bank through a big national bank. That isn't something I can get around through them right?

i tried it and couldn't find my bank in the list of financial institutions or through the search feature, any suggestions? My bank has online banking, does it have to have mobile online banking?

See if your bank has the feature that you can text a certain word like "bal" and they will return text with account balances. Both my bank and credit union have this function and is really better that having to have different apps for different banks.

Re: mobile banking app

I use the app by Firethorn Holdings that works with several banks. You can get from your bank's online site (if they participate) or from your carrier (if they support).

Re: mobile banking app

Firethorn doesn't work with Sprint, and I don't think my banks do the texting thing. I don't see why they can't just make an app that works with any bank that has an online presence.

Find a different bank that meets your needs, perhaps?

There is an app that does just such a thing, and it's on your phone right now. It's called a web browser.

In all seriousness, another option might be to make up a contact list entry with your banks' automated system contact number, and to set up the contact number with the appropriate pauses and your account number and PIN, so that you can just call it and get your balance without having to key in all your info over and over.

Also, there is always the options of running a financial management app on your phone (or even just keeping a Word document) with your transactions and current balance, though those options are only accurate if you put some effort into maintaining them.

Good luck!
