Weather Screen Won't Update
 

The Weather tab on my Boost TP2 WM6.5 Stock HTC ROM stopped updating on the "other" 6 locations I have loaded (my current location updates fine). When I try to manually update, I get a window that says "Connection Error. There was a connection error while attempting to download weather data. Retry?" Retries fail. I looked for the Weather program to see if I could reload it but I couldn't find it. Any suggestions on how to get it working again? Thanks.

could be a "glitch" on there end for your city, has it been doing this long? maybe give it a day if it just started.

try this. disable sense by going to start-settings-today then disable htc sense then open file explorer and goto application data-HTC-databases- and delete that forecast cache file thats in there then re enable sense and u should be fine

sounds like the weather database is down again... theres really nothing you can do, it happens every few months. it will eventually start working on its on. ive had this issue before and tried everything, deleting files, hard resets, etc. none of that worked, it started back working on it own. hope that helps

About two weeks.

I didn't want to delete the file so I renamed it and did a soft reset. No change -- weather still won't update. Would it make a difference if I moved it instead of renaming it?

If my weather database was down, everybody's would be, right? Is anybody else's down?

Are you using conflippers weather v5? If so his server is down for good and you need to just unstall his cab or just delete the weather url in the registry that his cab added.

You do not have to delete the manila file provided with conflippers cab. I still have his manila file for the added city but dont use his server

Excellent sleuthing, drewcam888! I was using cornflipper; I removed it and weather is now working like it is supposed to. Now, does anybody know of a good .cab to replace cornflipper so I can get weather for some of the more trendy locations (like Terre Haute, IN or Bluefield, WV)? I don't really need to now the weather in Barcelona or Taipei!
