cannot send or receive text messages
 

I just bought a TP2 from someone that was supposedly used and activated for about 3 weeks or so, perfect condition. It activates fine and i can make and receive calls. However, I cannot send or receive any texts. Trying to go to SMS gets me to email messaging, very weird. Anybody with similar experience?

SMS and email both use the same mobile outlook app so thats not weird. provide more information about your problem? what error message do you receive if any? you may have to contact sprint as they can better troubleshoot these kinds of issues.

You could just hard reset if you just set it up, before you get to deep...

You could try just re-installing Arcsoft and see if that restores sms..

i just did a hard reset, but i may have to do it again.

Arcsoft? I thought that was only for mms not sms

flash stock rom, and do a clear storage as soon as your done. should take care of software issues.

Dial ##786# and reset.
You'll need your msl.
Use Baff's msl grabber or call carrier.

It will factory reset your device and reprovisions data. I would think it should fix your problem.

thanks horn but I tried your advice and it didn't work for me :(
