No EVDO icon in Energy's MaxSense??

Since i flashed my TP2 with energy's max sense i haven't seen an EV icon. I know where i should and shouldn't have EV coverage. I don't know if its just not showing me the icon or if its not switching. If i sit where i have full service, i can see the cell tower about 10 miles away and i know for a fact it does EV because my old LG had the EV icon. The TP2 stays on 1x and never goes to EV. is there a way i can test my speed to see if im getting EV coverage? If i have the EV speed just not the icon i dont care i just want to be able to have the EV speed when available. Thanks.

this is why cooks shouldnt overly mod the icons in the taskbar. on medium hill's FSA deluxe the icon looks as if its always transmitting data so i didnt know whether or not if i was transmitting data or not EPIC FAIL!!!

Try a different taskbar.
