To all those 32bit SD Micro formatters out there!
Well I would just LIKE to say that all those instructions in all those threads telling everyone to format their SD Micro cards to 32. WRONGOROONI!!!
Just so happens that I downloaded one of the LAST roms posted on MightyRom.com "MightyROM RhodiumW 062010 Update Now Available!" Flashed it and enjoyed it for a few months UNTIL... I wanted to return my phone to my employer in the same condition I received it. Well after much frustration after having flashed the hell out of the phone for the last 10 months using various ROMS by Mighty Mike, and thoroughly enjoying all of them, I wanted to put the HTC Sprint original release ROM of March 2010 back on my Touch Pro 2 after formating the card at 32. (Sticking the RHODIMG.nbh on root of SD card), holding down the power and vol and rebooting to the multi colored display ad NAUSEUM to get "no image found". That particular ROM of Mighty Mike 062010 requires the utility bundled with it to format the SD Micro card to 16  not 32! Then guess what? I re-copied the RHODIMG.nbh back to the NEWLY 16 bit formated card and it flashed. OMG I'm not angry, but for all you folks out there still thrilled with there Touch Pro 2. Turn it back into your employer and get an HTC Hero by Sprint (the new one Sept 2010). Hands down this Hero (android 2.1) is KA. I'm gladly returning my thoroughly hacked phone back into my employer now. Sim LOCKED  All is well. Happy Thanksgiving!:headbang: |
Re: To all those 32bit SD Micro formatters out there!
hmmmm,im willing to bet you used a card over 2gb and SDHC too wasnt it??? not suppose to try to flash with anything like that anyways...
and FAT32 is the correct way to format cards..... weve been doing this for years and years some of us.... but you can go ahead and THINK you taught us something, its ok... |
Re: To all those 32bit SD Micro formatters out there!
Nope. 2 Gigs SDMicro
And after about 25 x of trying to flash, and formatting the SDMicro 2 gig card 4 x with the Win 7 32 bit format routine, and getting no where. Then using the format utility on found in the 062010 update, one would concisely say that the ROM 062010 wasn't going to be downgraded unless one used the 16 bit utility. Case closed. |

Re: To all those 32bit SD Micro formatters out there!
FAT32 and no more than 2 gig SD card and never a issue here!!!!!
I also think Mightyrom questions are better answered in his own forum!!! |
Re: To all those 32bit SD Micro formatters out there!
wow he posted this asking for trouble. i dont even flash via sd i use my pc. just dont see the point in flashing via sd while on the go which is most likely during hours and outside of the watershed when one is likely to get bothered by someone when trying to flash a rom. i flash all my roms in the watershed period (11pm central to 5am central)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; MSM Build/MASTER) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)
sd flashing always seemed more reliable than bad plugs and loose ports. |
