TP2 with mobile VPN questions
 

great site, thanks for what yall do.

question: just received my corporate issued TP2 and got it activated. i have yet to sync it through active sync and register it on our corp. server.

can i run a custom ROM (something more snappy) and still be signed in to my mobile VPN? or does that prevent me from being connected to the VPN?

on my HTC Snap before, i could not use a lot of the phone's features that were disabled by corp, so i would have do sign off the mobile VPN to use Opera Mini and the like.

now i am trying to figure out how to do this. also, what ROMs would you recommended? Mighty?
i would like to do the XDAndroid but i feel i will always have to reboot to be on WM to get my corp. emails and sync.

educate me? i have to unlock my phone first before adding ROMs? can i unlock and stay signed on to the VPN? thanks. also, i assume i will have to add a ROM before registering on my server and syncing with the VPN? not the other way around? i assume once i do that i wont be able to add or dl much to the phone?

If you want to run a custom rom then I suggest you unlock and flash the custom rom first then do the setup with your company server. If you don't your settings will be wiped during the unlock/flash process.
