Uninstall/Upgrade Opera Mobile.

I wanted to know or if someone could point me out to how I can uninstall Opera 9.7 (my default) and install Opera 10. I have install Opera 10 BUT... here's the issue. I do not want to have Opera 9.7 and Opera 10 installed. I only want Opera 10 Mobile.

HTC TP2
Medium Hill Rom

Thanks.

If the files are in ROM, you can't uninstall it. You can delete everything in \Windows\Opera9 (to save space if you want) and the .lnk in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\*. I don't know if that ROM has a custom start menu, so * may be a different directory. If you choose to use Opera 10 as the default browser (in settings), you shouldn't see opera 9.7 anymore.

+1.... if you install 10.1, after install itll prompt you to use as default.. say yes.. that will also make it so your internet tab goes to 10.1 and not 9.7 as well...

This is the core reason ROM authors need to STOP including aps in thier ROMS. The whole point of flahsing a new ROM is to remove carrier crud on the phone. Don't make us replace carrier crud with your crud. We can all install the Opera cab we need, we don;t want it uninstallable on our phones.

why get rid of opera 9.7? it performs better and consumes less RAM than opera 10

Make your own ROM. It's simple as can be with the new kitchens. If you can read directions and move things into different folders on your computer, you can build a ROM.
