How to Play Standard Video Formats?
Okay,
Despite the fact that PPCGeeks takes 30 minutes to load per page on broadband, I have finally made it to a place to post. What is the deal? HTC Touch Pro 2, with Windows Mobile 6.5. What's Microsoft Windows, and it only plays these 3gp whatever file formatted videos. It won't play avi, mpg, or even wmv. and this is a windows os. what is the deal? Every single COdec pack on line says "Windows mobile 6.5" and they mean Windows 2000/nt/xp etc. How do I play a friggin' movie on my phone? Downloaded the Divx player from Divx Labs. Won't play MPGs. I have to move the files specifically a different folder for the damn player to even see them, which it doesn't. and currently the only version is 0.94b for windows mobile 6. Frankly, I've been at this for three days, and it's a joke that a Windows device cannot process or have READILY AVAILABLE file codecs or applications to play a movie. Even Windows Media Player on the device won't paly MPGs and there is nothing on the microsoft support site that provides the functionality for the application. So simply put, what, where, how can i play mpgs, avis, etc on the phone using either existing applications via codecs, or with a free downloaded app that actually works. Thanks, PS The dB engine here is either slow, or there is one heck of a lag server in my ip route, because i am dead serious: 20 minutes per page, on a clean, un-used 1.2mb/s broadband line. |
Re: How to Play Standard Video Formats?
Try downloading TCPMP or Coreplayer, you should be able to play just about any format then.

Re: How to Play Standard Video Formats?
According to HTC's Website, the TP2 supports:
Video supported formats WMV, ASF, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, M4V, AVI. If it doesn't work in the regular WMP then you could also try viewing through the Photos and Video Tab. HTC - Products - HTC Touch Pro2 - Specification Maybe the videos you play are in too high a resolution for the TP2? |
Re: How to Play Standard Video Formats?
resolution doesnt make a difference because it would get down converted if theyre synced through desktop wmp.i have no problems playing anything on my tp2 through wmp or the htc video player.
