Currently in Brazil with vodafone live! SIM card from VZW running early Oct Energy ROM. Can only get voice, no data service. Phone has been activated for international use. I'm sure this has been discussed, but couldn't find any inclusive threads, so I appologize for any duplication. Thanks for any assistance.

I had this happen in the UAE. Make sure that your data connection is setup to dial the correct APN - mine is etisalat.ae with no user name or password. Also, you can try the SIM in another phone to see if the data is working and that should help narrow down the issue. I've had various issues with data connectivity here. Once time it was out for a week. I drove up to Dubai and it kicked in for some reason...go figure.

In France the SIM cards come ready for voice but need some additional work at the store where you bought it or by the carrier to get the data part enabled....

Same for me in india. I had to call carrier to do some manual settings and then data worked flawless.
