What happened to WMDC after new install?

I just upgraded my laptop and installed Office 2010. When I connected my TP2, no WMDC showed up. I cannot find it on the machine? What am I missing or has it been erased from the world in anticipation of Windows Phone 7 (paranoid thought of the moment)...

IMO syncing through myphone or exchange is much better than syncing through WMDC, never ever used it since myphone took off. only time i even do the activesync connection now is for either flashing radios/roms or syncing songs. and as for wmdc if u still want it u can find it by going start-all programs then click on windows mobile device center or u can just type that in the search bar.

Well, I live in an environment that I cannot trust my e-mail to MS for security reasons. Also, what happens if you are our of cell range?

I found it. This I guess is the Vista version, but seems to be working:

Download details: Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit)
