back up light won't turn off for the front keys
 

I searched for this but couldn't find anything in regards to TP2.

I have the HTC TP2 with Sprint

The four front keys (Call, Windows, Back, End Call) always stay on. But they aren't the brightest it could be, but still bright enough.

Example: I am charging my phone (phone is off) and the keys will be lit up.

Or my phone is on and I am using it the keys will be lit up (like they should be) but when I put it into sleep or the back light automatically turns off, the four front keys dim, but don't completely turn off. Very frustrating esp at night.

I did a hard reset but that didn't help.

Anyone have any suggestions or an app to just disable the light on these keys?

Flash the shipped rom for your carrier. If this still happens then you have a hardware problem.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the Noobdom, but can you (or someone else) tell me what flashing the shipped rom means and how would I do that?

most likely sounds like a hardware problem since its still doing it after a hard reset,i doubt flashing a different rom will change it. call sprint and have it replaced.

Need I send back to htc? My waranty just over 2 month..

Well, if you flash back to the stock rom or you are currently using the stock rom and have done a hard reset and the issue persists then you'll have to get it repaired or replaced.

thanks for your respond. I already done that. the result nothing change. I will contact back the shops. But my warranty just over, do you know how much it will cost?
