Hey guys im a tad confused right now, i downloaded the android cab installed It no worrys. My TP2 Is rhod500 (verizon) but running GSM in Australia so my issue is when i sellected rhod500 as the device to boot android in, it only detects the cdma which is not at all what i want as i'm after GSM so do i need to select a different device or what?
any feedback appreciated! |
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
Rhod500 only selects the keyboard layout. Did you uncheck Force CDMA? You are really pushing the envelope here. |

Yeah, that was the first thing i unticked, it didn't select any service i manually searched through the netwrosk and chose the right one, i currently have a issue with the wi-fi as it detects my wireless connection but yet when i connect wifi states "disconnected" im researching the issue right now, though don't seem to be in any luck

does your startup.txt have a "force cdma" command line in it??? if so, as most do, delete it..
make sure your SIM is in and boot... hopefully should be ok now |

You were 100% about the force cdma in the default start up, removed and rebooted android, i have just come across my issue luckly, it is actually due to the Build does not support WEP wireless networks, so looks like no wireless for me!

you can always go back to good ol WM and use wifi. or get a data plan through your provider. most of us here in the US have to subscribe to a data plan when we purchase a smartphone, the only way around it is to buy an unlocked GSM version.
