No internet connection after new rom installed
 

If this is posted sumwhere else sorry, i went through and didnt c it anywhere. My friend and i switched phones. She didnt like the evo and i had touch pro 2. I did a rom install, energy and i thank it was the standard rom on tp2. Well when we switched, the numbers and contacts i forgot to switch the sprint stock rom back. Tp2 will not get a connection to internet at all. it keeps saying provision user name and password not available. There wasnt no problems till we switched info ova with internet. Sprint techs are asking ova phone, go to settings and all settings and i can't find none of the opitions they want cause everything is diff on this rom. Since i cant get a connection on tp2, will i b able to use the usb cord and install the sprint stock rom from htc?. She can call and text just can't get on there internet. I gave her my phone and 50 bucks. i wanna fix this for her. Im tryin to keep her from going in the store and them voiding the warrenty on the phone.

if you tried clear storage or pulled the battery and that didnt work you can always put your service back on and flash stock but i would just sdcard flash stock rom back on. she still should have internet working though, how long has it been on her account/service?

Yeah we have did all that a few times, this has been since fri. i dont know how to sd card flash rom. She can not connect to internet at all.

so flash it stock and relock it whats the issue? if she brings it to a store its not voiding anything its stock and relocked. lol i know my return tp2 i sent back i flashed the actual official stock release not the stripped one and it relocked it automatically with their new hspl. then after they fix it unlock it from her place different ip. should work.

well at first it wasnt getting no sync with usb cord. I did a hard reset and connected it to usb and installed a sprint stock rom for her tp2. she was wanting to take it to the strore with the energy rom installed and not stock. She was thinking they could fix it and she would b ok. sum chicks just dont listen. i told her to let me try. we was having alot of trouble the first couple of times. she is good to go now..lol, thanks

glad you got it worked out... suprised noone asked if you did "update profile" though.. that mightve solved it without all the flashing

Sounds like to me you didn't run the carrier provisioning.

i had the same problem i installed the sprint cabs and it all worked fine

a got a sprint htc touch pro flashed to boost mobile but i cannot get internet i can log onto sprint net via wifi but no data connection or the ev sign. The ev sign comes and go's but have deleted all everything once and messed up my prl file but added and old one and fixed my goof off. But no internet bluetooth any idea or roms

I suggest you call customer support for your MSL or use this app to retrieve it:

Then dial ##786# and then click on Menu at the bottom right.
Press Reset then OK and then enter your MSL. The phone will do a hard reset and reprovision.
