TP2 screen problems
So in the past couple weeks my tp2 has started to have some screen issues, started with it being very opposed to switching to landscape when i open the keyboard. more recently I have been getting visual errors regaurdless of orientation from lines across the screen to an all red tint and even gray 'fuzz'.
Pressing hard on the keyboard has occasionally brings it back to normal. So I assume the cable leading to the screen is working loose somewhere. Doing some searching here and on Google I'm not finding any info about this problem, anyone else have this happen or have taken apart their TP2 that know how to get to the ribbon cable? |
Re: TP2 screen problems
Is your phone less than a year old? If so, take it to a store (or call) and tell them about the issues and you can likely get it replaced for free under the warranty...

Re: TP2 screen problems
doesnt matter if it was used or not.... when u activate a device you have 30 days to add TEP(or either $4 single variant)...
ive bought zillions of Egay devices, put TEP on them, then put in a claim(asurion,Corp stores and 3rd party) same day even sometimes.. guess you dropped the ball here... hey, atleast you didnt drop the phone lol |

Re: TP2 screen problems
geez the gray fuzz sounds like what the axim x50 and 51v used to suffer from on wm5. what rom are u using? tho this sounds like a hardware problem.

Re: TP2 screen problems
Running Energy 21916 Cookie 2.0 now, had an older version loaded when this started.
I'm kinda hoping this is like the keyboard issue that the TP has. And yes next time Im getting some replacement protection. |
Re: TP2 screen problems
So turns out it is just the ribbon cable moving, used the fix from the keyboard problems on the Touch pro's and put a couple layers of electrical tape on it, and it all is well again.
