Can I flash TP2 (Metro PCS) back to Sprint?
 

Hello, I know someone that is willing to give me a great deal on a TP 2, the only problem is he flashed it to Metro PCS, is it possible to flash the phone back to Sprint and if so how would I do this? Please help. Thanks.

if its unlocked and was sprint branded. meaning it was originally a sprint phone yes its easy. But make sure esn is ok . if it is all you gotta do is unlock it. (which it should be if its on metro and was a sprint) then reflash sprints stock rom. activate the phone through sprint. then either leave it that way or flash a custom of your liking. btw below is a link to check esn to make sure its clear.

Wait. Just because it was used on Metro PCS doesn't mean it was unlocked. Metro is a CDMA carrier. OP you probably just need to flash the shipped Sprint ROM and Update Profile and PRL. You may have to reset some of the Sprint settings but it shouldn't be a big deal.

ya but if his buddy had it it could be. most people loose the sprint bloat ware when doing that. why i said maybe. lol wasy enough to tell. throw that puppy in bootloader and see what the hspl displays. then report back op. we can tell ya if shes unlocked or not. i just figured could be casue why else would he wanna place it on sprint.
