Installing a real LED flashlight in TP2, Speakerphone light?
I come from a Mogul originally and then to a Touch Pro, then 3 more Touch Pros with dead keyboards, all replaced for free btw w/o insurance. Both these models had a flashlight and oh how did i love it. It came in handy and took good pictures in a pinch... Now i have in my hands an unlocked Touch Pro 2, with no flashlight. I would like to know if there is any way to control the speakerphone LED via software without activating the speakerphone function. Also, has anyone found a very thin adhesive LED strip online? All i find are commercial products for large rooms. I'm talking a very small light that i could control via a small toggle that i could hook into the TP2 battery (5v i believe?). I am hoping to replace the LED for the speakerphone with a larger white LED somehow but i do not know the software as well as the hardware.
Thanks. btw: I have ordered a keychain light just in case lol |
I don't know how this can be done but I have an idea for the LEDS. check hpiracing.com and tamiyausa.com and go their rc accessory lighting kits. They have tiny bulbs for the headlights and tail lights

Just so you know, if you would modify the hardware in anyway, you can say goodbye to your hardware warranty (if there is one) along with trying to get any replacement assistance or support from the carrier or via Asurion for insurance purposes. To me, the costs would greatly outweigh the benefit of having a "flashlight" on my phone.

I only paid $100 for my TP2 on eBay so you can understand why i would risk it.
