I must agree, that is a wayy better version.. I have it as well, but I can only play it when I disable sense.

I had the same problem. I turned off sense as someone mentioned in a thread and installed the game on device, not storage.

Worked for me.

I don't have Sense, just TF3D 2.1. Not willing to give up a couple of mb of device storage for a game, though, but I might try it just to see if it works.

Anyone able to get the game at decent speed? Overclock doesn't seem to help it much and while it's not unplayable...it is quite slow (probably like 10-15fps?).

As for being able to run it, from my trial and errors with different roms...sense or not doesn't really matter, it's how much free ram is available. The sweet spot is above 70mb free I believe. Even w/o sense, if I'm down to like 40-50mb, I can't get it to work.

I have around 120mb free on EnegyROM 6.5x with compact menu and Sense off. Overclocked it runs perfect, installed on SD card. I really don't mind hitting three icons to run this game and three when I'm done...

Duh. It doesn't work for me. The game runs fine and looks awesome, I just can't steer.

NTL555, are you saying turn off Sense when installing or when running the game? And why would the install location matter to being able to steer? Anyone else not able to steer?

Not being able to steer come from a program which messes things up most of the time. In a thread at XDA, the most common cause was Resco Photo Manager or some Resco game that people had installed. I think the solution to Resco Photo Manager was to copy the Resco Photo Manager program folder to storage card and then remove it via Remove Programs. You can still run Resco Photo Manager by browsing to the storage card or making a shortcut to the path on the storage card (at least that's what I read and think I remember :)).

As far as turning off sense, it's when running the game. It's easy to run out of memory if sense and the game are loaded on most Rhodium ROMs. It doesn't matter where you install it.

The first time I played, it worked fine, the second time I played, it wouldn't steer, may have something to do with the fact that I had resco file explorer opened, not sure, I also didn't overclock it that time either.

I just reset the phone, made sure I overclocked it first and it ran fine after that. If you want to know how to OC your phone, it's very simple and I have written up a tutorial here..

All I need to do know is figure out how to drift so I can beat track 6 on Chicago.

I'm already overclocked. I do have Resco Photo Manager installed. Going to remove it (it's already on the storage card) and see if that's the issue. G-sensor works fine in other programs, so why would Resco only affect NFS?

Works great on my TP2. I can't drift either.

Excellent advice Mwalt2. Cheers! If it helps anyone, I installed NFS Shift to the storage card, and already had Resco Photo Manager installed there. In order to get NFS to steer and run well, I just moved Resco's sensor dll file from Windows\SmiSensorServer_1.dll to Storage Card\Program Files\Resco Photo Manager, and switched off Sense. Anyway, after doing the above, NFS has been working great here on an overclocked TP2 running Vin's Pluto ROM.

Best to all,
R

The funny thing is that a stock RX-8 is real tail happy, but for some reason a stock RX-8 has complete trouble drifting in this game. :spin:
