Where to buy replacement TP2 body plastic?

Hello,

I'm trying to find a source for buying replacement body plastic for my Sprint Touch Pro2. The edges are pretty worn. I have a ZAGG Invisible Shield over the screen and back which keep those areas scratch free. I don't like actual cases as they add bulk and weight to the phone. It's not a terrible concern for me, but if I can do it, I'd like to at this point.

I used to get parts for my old Motorola phones on eBay and sites like cnn.cn but I can't find HTC parts easily.

Any ideas?

Do those actually use the same parts as the real phone?

take it to a repair center if u have insurance.. you may be able to talk them into switching out the shell with a device thats already going in for a return.. much like how we get battery covers and such..

worth a shot..and itd be free if theyd do it..

Well after a bit of searching, I found this site, which says and shows you can't use a Sprint Touch Pro2 dummy for parts. Maybe the Verizon model is different, but who wants that?

Any other ideas?

Anyone need a Sprint Touch Pro2 Housing?

Alrighty,

In regards to a previous post of mine, I found a housing kit here, but the site has a minimum quantity order of two units. I'm willing to split the cost with someone needing the same, plus a couple dollars for shipping.

If you're interested, PM me or reply.

I don't mean to solicit on here, but this is kinda relevant to upgrades right

This isn't relevant to upgrades.. Post on the regular Touch Pro 2 forum next time. BTW this isn't the first time you have done this..

Sorry. I thought I would narrow the audience of the post down to Sprint users, which falls under CDMA. Please move the thread if it is better suited elsewhere.

I wouldn't count on using a dummy phone, they may have used original parts in the past, but recently I was given a dummy verizon HTC incredible and it was basically two halves that had straight posts connecting them, right where any of the board and guts would be.

The parts looked as if they were made JUST for the dummy phone.

It had a lead weight in the center to give it weight.
