Having trouble recieving texts in europe
 

this question may be unanswerable but ill give it a try. im in europe and when i was in greece and i woke up one morning and had 6 texts. then the rest of the time there i didnt recieve any even though i know i was sent texts. i saw missed calls the whole time so i know i was on the network and now im in hungary and i havent gotten any. i was hoping the different network would help but it didnt. ive tried to force a send/recieve but it wont do it. any words of wisdom?

GSM sucks! everyone I know with a GSM provider has trouble recieving my texts or texts period.so maybe this is ur problem.

just a thought but could it be reception issues?

Have you tried a soft reset then running a cleanup app like cleartemp or sktools and then soft resetting again? You might try after you clean turn it off and remove and then re-insert the sim card and then turn it back on and try again. Is there a way to contact the gsm carrier over there and ask about it? Just guesses. :dontknow:

I am returning to Europe this week and this does not sound good.

Here is what I have done.

Note well that there are multiple carriers in each country and Sprint uses them all.

Rather than use the automatic setting, I try to find out which is the best carrier and use them. If you get shunted from one to the other it is trouble.

Also pull the battery.

Also, use the free number and call Sprint and bitch bitch bitch.

My question to you is, how much are you paying them for data? Are you getting hit hard? I see they charge $16/MB now!!!!!!
