Has this ever happen to anybody?

I woke up today to my phone not having any data connection.I went into the Comm Manager and saw that my data connection was turned off. I thought that was odd because I never turned it off. When the data started running again I decided to look at my email and noticed that all my email accounts were gone from my phone. What's that all about?

Oh yeah also I can't re-enter my accounts because the phone supposedly still recognizes them as still being there.

And another thing everytime I restart my phone my Data is off. I have to keep switching it back on! WTF!!!!

Touch Pro 2 Stock Rom
Haven't installed any new programs or messed with any registries.

I did a hard reset. I have full service over here and yet my "Profile Update" keeps giving me an error and also every time I reset my phone I have to go into the Comm Manger to turn on the data connection.

I've had a situation where my email folder deletes itself and then spontaneously reloads by re-downloading all messages. Out of curiosity, how many emails did you have and how much virtual memory did their attachments take up? I find this happens to me when there's too much email and attachments.

Wow what did I start over here?
Anyways to the person who asked me about my email settings.
They are:
HTML
Download Entire Message
emails 5 days old.

I've had this phone for almost a year and twice the phone decided to download all my emails which led it to crash like a mofo. So maybe that's what happened. Either way I did another hard reset, called Sprint, asked them to refresh my profile and boom everything is back to normal.

bingo, re-provisioning or that if the latter fails will fix the problem of your data connection not launching automatically on-demand. I've seen before where I had to manually start the data, and usually provisioning will then also fail, so a call to support for a reset becomes the only fix. the trick is having the patience to try this before hard-resting your device.

the email part i'm not sure, but it sounds like you may have figured it out and may be a cause for the provisioning breaking..

Funny thing is my phone downloaded all my emails again. It didn't mess up the phone this time though. I still don't get why from time to time it decides to download everything when I tell it to only keep emails 5 days old.

I'm still not sure how you have your mail set up. pop/imap/exchange

Odd. i find that depending on what ROM you are the PRL and profile update dont always work right.

if push comes to shove flash back to stock, update profile, flash to cstom and try again.
