Can I turn the "phone" off while using TP2 as a wi-fi router?

I need to use the wi-fi capabilities for a sales demo in a place where we can't otherwise get internet access as an outside vendor. I'd like to make sure that the wi-fi signal doesn't get interrupted (plus avoid the potential embarrassment of phone calls) during the demo. Is there a way to block the phone while using wi-fi?

I'm presuming that airplane mode is not the answer. Thanks all.

Verizon TP2 on stock WM6.1 rom, using the famous XDA internet sharing app.

If you're using it for internet access you're using the phone!

So you can't turn off the phone radio, but you could turn off the ringer.

as my friend, gsp mentioned. while using your phone for wifi, you are actually using the phone. i'm certainly no genius on these things but i'm thinking that as long as you're using the phone for wifi, it has to be connected to service. thereby making it possible to receive calls.

wasn't there a setting you can toggle so that calls go straight to voicemail instead of interupting an active data session?? in the phone settings options, DDTM on?

You can turn off the screen, but the phone must be on.

This is not what we're about at ppcgeeks. Maybe you've found the wrong community.

OK, these sound like what I want to do, but I don't see the voicemail thing in phone settings or as an Outlook event. Am I looking in the wrong places? (and what does DDTM mean, please, that's an acronym I'm not familiar with).

what rom are you using and are you using cookies home editor?

go here: settings/sound and display/ and you'll see it. You cant completely stop calls from coming in, just like everone above said you cant turn off the phone like you want cause you need the radio to do your wifi tethering

ddtm kills the data connection during a call or incoming call i know there is a hack on the moto q to turn it off in the
field test menu to allow both to occur
