HTC Bluetooth stack...is there an alternative?

I own a Microvision ROV Bluetooth Barcode scanner I've been trying to get working with my Touch Pro 2. I'm running MightyROM at the moment.

According to Microvision, their wedge software IScompatible with WM 6.5 on most devices, but they claim that HTC used a custom bluetooth stack on the TP2, and that's why I'm not able to get the wedge software connected to my phone. Their only suggestion: Get a new phone.

Not happening.

All this to lead up to the question: Is there an alternative bluetooth stack with full microsoft compliance that I can load somehow onto my TP2 to be able to get my barcode scanner to work?

Short answer: no

There was a discussion about getting the MS BT stack on the phone offering a decent sized bounty to whomever accomplished the feat, but it's still available as no one can find a way to not use whatever was included with the TP2, so you're going to need a new phone or you won't be able to use the scanner.
