Need Help Flashing Sprint RHOD400
A friend of mine help me flashed it months ago, I was able to use it for AT&T. but the OS he flashed has time bomb which keep give me a white screen with beta end message, I cannot find him now, so I try to reflash it myself by follow the instructions I found in this site.
This is what it says when I entered the bootloader menu: Security Unlocked RHOD400 32M SS-BC SPL - 1.00.OliNex MicroP(LED) 0X0A MicroP(KEY) 0X04 TURBO HW/TURBO SW TP MFG DATA 508,520 815,841 829,202 199,209 176,845 Calibrated I flash through the USB cable and tried so many different ROMs, but the phone stays on TouchPro 2 screen afte flashing. What did I do wrong? Which ROM should I use for this phone and what is the proper way to flash it? Thank you very much. |

Re: Need Help Flashing Sprint RHOD400
I believe it's a GSM rom that I tried to flash at the beginning.
Is there any way that I can get it unbrick by any chance? |

Re: Need Help Flashing Sprint RHOD400
Do you have any idea what the original carrier for the phone is? If it's Sprint, he may have SIM unlocked it to use ATT network. Let us know if there's any branding on the phone or if you know which carrier the phone is originally from.

no..... the ROM of the phone never changes.... if it is a sprint phone/CDMA then you always have to flash a CDMA ROM. Even if you intend on SIM unlocking the phone and using it on a GSM network. unless you like making paperweights.... and SIM unlocking is what you had to do to make it work on the ATT network. Sprint ships their phones with access to US GSM towers unavailable, whereas Verizon doesn't, but they security lock the phones IIRC ( i dont pay attention to Verizon). To make your Sprint phone work on a GSM network in the US, you will need to spend the $30 bucks and SIM unlock your device, and you will need to upload a new radio to have it all work correctly. Once you do this you can buy an att phone, pop the sim out and put it in your phone and you are good to go once you set it to GSM mode. I personally use TMo prepaid in case i need access to something and there is no cdma service available... |
