bit of help please with text colour
 

im using the stock rom, and i just want a simple black and white theme.

however when i start up the phone most or all of the text is always in black, and sometimes changes to white.

is there any cabs i can install that will make all the text go white??

Search for GTX in the themes area of the TP2 thread this should be what you are looking for :)

ive searched and i dont fully understand what i have to download cos im really blonde lol

im not after a rom, and i dont use sense on my phone.

Sense is in your phone whether you use it or not.. and GTX is NOT a ROM, its a Theme(a black and white theme at that).. theres a GTX version of ROMs from a few different chefs, but you just want the theme..

if you chose the 2nd link in there, the cabs are at the bottom of the 2nd post i think.. chose your version, DL, click on the cab in your device and itll start install after that

I understand you now :smurf: ill download it when xda site decides to work again lol

btw i re-read my thread and i didnt make it 100% clear, its the text in the start menue that i want to change.
but as i said, ill give GTX a try when xda works again lol

just tried the GTX theme and still the same problem. In the menue screen the text is coming up black. i want it in white. today screen text comes up in white btw which is fine.

If you are using the stock rom I suggest you try one of S2W's themes here:

Maybe one of his will give you what you are looking for. Always uninstall the current theme you are running and then soft reset and then follow his directions for installation. Good Luck! :)

i actually gave that a go before the GTX theme and it didnt evan work. like i couldnt find it in the theme list or anywere on the phone. ill try once more tho.

GTX theme is being a right bitch to remove :@

They install with cabs. Just download the one you want and save it to device memory somewhere like My Documents. Then click on the cab to install. That's what I meant by following his directions.

i just tried it again and it didnt work, then i turned on htc sense and there it was, turned it off and its gone again.

so thats no use to me cos i dont use sense on my phone.

What do you use?
If you don't use Sense then I recommend you flash the shipped 6.1 rom. It is more stable than the 6.5 stock rom.

easy today launcher or iphone today cut down to 2 or 3 lines

atm im using easy today launcher.

phones goin back to htc today hopefully cos its got a few lil things that are annoying me.

Well, all of the text from WinMo is usually white by default. If you are seeing black text then that may be text generated by or part of something else that is installed like your easy today launcher.
I have no clue if you can change font colors within for those apps.
If you are using the standard WinMo Today screen with add-ons then I think you can change colors on just about everything with the UI-Tweaker app. Here is a link to UI-Tweaker:

the today screen is ok with the font colours, its when i start going into the menue, half the text in there is in white and half is in black.

The Start Menu?
