Anybody tried to use HTCRIE to edit stock release ROM?

Is that a wise move to directly cut out those OEM craps with HTCRIE? Will that generate a usable image at all? I'm using Sprint, things like sprint TV, NFL... are just useless to me and I would like to delete them from the ROM. I was using the HTCRIE on custom ROMs all the time, I don't have time to get ready for kitchen, so that approach helped me get some of my flavor.

T%his is an interesting question; one I would like to know also. I tried deleting some of the crap from my USCC rom, and the result was a rom that hung during the customization part of the first boot. Is there a XML file I need to edit to??

Why would you need to use the rom image editor? If it's a stock ROM, you can dump it with any of the new kitchens and just leave out what you don't want. Either way, you'd probably have to be unlocked to flash the edited ROM or re-cooked ROM.
