Change Hard Keys, Net 3.5, and sms error
 

Hey Guys,
I have a few issues...
I am using NRGZ rom energy 8.19 (i think that the date, the one before 8/21) 23xxx.
1. I would like to change my hard key "start menu" to open arkswitch. I only saw a program for the tp to change hard key buttons. I guessing i could go into the registry to change hard keys but dont kno for sure. Also if i could add more button option into Settings>buttons> that would be great.

2. I know there energy roms are net 3.5 but i constantly get a pop up where it says that something about needing net3.5 or there is a error. The only program i can remember right now that give me that prob is MVU.

3. Last, I created a group for my contacts and when ever i try to send a group sms it give me this message "Receiver exceeds maximum number (0)."

Does anyone have any ideas as to why and how to resolve these issues?

I have net 3.5 already installed. I tried installing it again but the version i have in a cab format is older than what i have installed. But why am i getting this error when i already have 3.5 installed?

Maybe you need to install and run the Net3.5 Configurator app so your device knows to use 3.5 for all unconfigured apps.

Try toggling the value in the registry. The key is located at: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework - change 3.5.7283.00 to a different value (0->1 or 1->0).

For what it's worth, mine is set to 0 and I haven't had any issues that you've experienced. What application are you referring to when you say "MVU?"

Attached is that Config cab I was talking about. Install it to device and navigate to where it lets you select the version(s) of netcf you have and select 3.5 and set it to use 3.5 for all unconfigured apps. Then exit. Then wait a min and then soft reset. You may have to uninstall that app you are having trouble with before you run the config app then re-install your mvu app. I hope it works.
