Error Code : 67 (But I dont have a Data Plan)
 

Hey Guys,

so I have done some searching and I couldn't find an answer. I have a TP2 that does not have a data plan and every time a I get the GPS running for TomTom it interrupts the GPS signal and I constantly have to hit "Dismiss" to remove the Error Code : 67 message. In addition, is there any way to stop the message from coming up in all other instances too?

does TomTom not use data???

otherwise something is calling for Data use and thats why your getting the error..

if you have no Data plan im guessing you dont have email accounts on your phone? if you do, they have send/recieve schedules that may be causing the phone to try and use Data...

well maybe its activating the GPS? and that uses data from sprint?

well theres a few that use Data, and theres 1 or 2 that run NO Data.. dunno if Tom Tom is one of the No Data ones though.. someone should chime in...

edit your title and add TomTom to it, so people so know what your looking for

Just read that is needs data for weather, traffic, ect. Heres where i got it from :

I have been using Tom Tom 6 on my Treo 750 and it is fantastic! I was somewhat new to GPS and tried out the Telenav service offered by Cingular. while this service was very impressive, I did not like having to maintain a data connection to get it to work and paying a monthly fee was not something I looked forward to either.

Tom Tom 6 loaded all my maps for the US and Canada onto the 2GB mini SD card and works with no data connection. The only time I need data is if I use the Tom Tom Plus service for weather, traffic updates ( very cool ) and adding more updated maps and points of interest. Also, Tom Tom tracks you as soon as you turn it on where Telenav required you to input a destination to get it to work.

Navigation is quite easy since I can input addresses from my contacts, choose from thousands of POI's, input a location or book mark a current location as a favorite so I can easily navigate back at a future date.

I am very impressed with how seamlessly Tom Tom 6 works on the Treo 750. If you are looking for GPS navigation for your Treo this is the way to go!

so then the OP just needs to make sure he/she doesnt have the "PLUS" version it sounds like and all should be well
