TP2 - Multitasking???

I hope someone can help me solve this issue... I don't remember having this problem before but I think probably after installing the last Mighty Rom (not sure if its related to this though) I've noticed that if I have an app open (like Opera) and then I hit the start menu or hit the end key to go to the home screen, this kills the open app instead of minimizing it. It is almost as if it doesn't multitask... Usually I was able to open apps and go back to previously open one without a problem. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

real solution.
start menu > settings > system > task manager > buton tab
change the option there. it gives you the choice of "end program by tapping x" or "end program by holding x"
also if you exit the program with the end key inste4ad of the "x" it just minimizes.

I have these setting the way they are supposed to be... usually this is one of the first things I set when I flash a rom...but I'm still having the issue.

I have the task manager that comes in the rom. I will give arkswitch a shot. Thank you!

I have WM6.5 (not 6.5.x)... there is a compatibility mode for 6.5... is it recommended though? (the dev doesn't recommend it on his website but he said he has not tested it).

I am running the latest MR also. I noticed the same thing. I can still have some apps running at the same time but a lot of times when I try going to another one it shuts all of the other apps down. It didn't do that with older Roms.
I like to run Garmin, SXRadio, and Camera to take pictures at multiple job sites. I can get Garmin and SXRadio up but when I go to open the Camera it shuts the other two apps down.
This used to work just fine and I like having my Sirius streaming which automatically attenuates when the Turn by Turn voice from Garmin comes on then the volume turns back up when she's done talking. Both stream fine through my Bluetooth on my company truck's radio with the Motorola T505.

if multiple people are experiencing it on the latest mightyrom, id say ask mike. what did you think arkswitch was going to accomplish? you already have two taskmanagers on your phone. they are built in to the rom. im not a mightyrom expert, but i know on stock, opera doesnt even show up in the windows task manager, it can never be minimized, only closed. it is to save memory.

Re: TP2 - Multitasking???

what's happening is the memory leak in 6.5 is causing the os to close whatever app it thinks ur using the least. the 6.1 rom I'm running doesn't suffer this issue as I was able to run IE, facebook im,beejive and text without any problems.
