well is it NOT working as your title state, or "quite unresponsive" as your actual post states??

theres not alot of fixes for screens man... you can try a reset or delting some cabs if you just did some or something...

but if a few resets and maybe a hard reset dont get ya going again, could be the digitizer than and the screens gonna fail no matter what till replaced..

any more insight for us on what couldve caused it??

have you checked your memory? start>system>memory whats your avilable Program and Device memory say?

is this when booting up the device, or in general?? have 90000000 txts and emails??

a laggy phone, that takes mutliple screen taps to get things done, doesnt neccessarily mean the screen has issues, thats why im asking...

Lag we can help you with.. a Digitizer going bad, well that for You(do-it-yourself), Sprint(if your lucky, prob order you a new one for free), or Asurion(if sprint wont help ya out)..

here is a tip for ya. dont go to sprint, go to a sprint retailer. even though sprint stores still get 25 30 or 50 bucks to look at and replace your phone, they are very reluctant. iv even had them tell me what hte phone is doign, and still not replace it.

go to a 3rd party sprint retailer. they will usually help you out, i caint do this because i cracked the screen and they will just say its not working because i cracked the screen.

so iv a new digitizer on the way, 20 bucks. ill pop that one in and if it works. it works, if not then ill just have to go to a sprint retailer and they will replace the pda.

by the way, know where there are some solid instructions on the net to replace the digitizer

well. i got it appart today, was a bit tough as the digitizer is glued on. i should be able to get it put back together just fine with the new digitizer.

though my wife found a whole screen half of the thing for 9 bucks more than the digitizer, either way.

i had to brake a security seal covering one of the screws. hope that doesent come back to bite me.

you know, i wouldve taken it to sprint first, as they prolly woulve just replaced it for you fro free! either under tep insurance, or at least the 1 year warranty. now that security screws have been tampered with, youd be screwed...

it may actually will in the future if you decide to get it a replacement because of the digitizer. so i am actually unsure of how a sprint retailer was able to be helpful to you when they didn't do anything except tell you to buy and replace your own digitizer. you should've just gone to a sprint repair center in your area so they could look at it and do a warranty repair. that's what i did over the weekend. my tp2 stopped sliding out. i knew it was the spring. so brought it in to the closest sprint retailer/repair center, they looked at it, told me if they can't fix it they will replace it, and about 10-15 minutes later, they said that they actually just need to replace the spring which is an easy fix. didn't have TEP on that line, but didn't have to do anything because the rep actually said that they'll do it under the device warranty.

insurance became voided when i droped it and the screen cracked. i could still do a asureon replacement but thats 100 bucks later. plus i did that once and i would have to swap phones with my wife to do it again.

but wouldn't the TEP still cover it though?...he just needs to pay the deductible. and warranty is useless if you drop your phone and crack it, not insurance. but with OP's last post, it seems like he doesn't have TEP on his line because he'll have to do a swap with wife. that would mean his wife has the TEP on her line and not his.

you are correct, i have used the insurance once and paid 100. not sure how long ago, might have been a year by now. either way. 100 deductable, or 20 for a digitizer.
