"A Problem Has Occured with Services.exe"
Upgraded to 6.5 a few days ago, and slowly installed my most beloved and useful programs. Now, for some reason, whenever I soft reset I get this error message:
"A problem has occured with services.exe". It'll pop up about twice in a row before finally loading the phone. I have no idea what this program is, and have actually hard reset once already and re-built. The second time around I tried to catch when this message started popping up; the closest I could figure is when I installed and used Advanced Configuration. I actually reset the AC settings to default and soft reset, but am still getting the message. Anyone know what causes this? If I have to hard reset AGAIN I'm willing to, but it doesn't make any sense to do so if I can't figure out which program/tweak causes it, as I'd just re-do the same mistake. |

I hate to say this, but one of the things you have installed is conflicting with another... Good luck finding out which one!

Re: "A Problem Has Occured with Services.exe"
The only true way to find out where the problem is would be to do a hard reset and install 1 tweak at a time and do a soft reset after each one.
Trying to find which tweak is the problem from where you're at now will be virtually impossible. |
Re: "A Problem Has Occured with Services.exe"
Yeah, I'm doing that now. Right now I'm thinking it's Advanced Configuration, because I installed that and then a few others and the message came back. Uninstalled one at time, still getting it. Gonna rebuild without Advanced Configuration and see what happens.

You're wasting your time. This issue is little more than an annoyance. Some remnant in your registry is the likely culprit, but it shouldn't cause any problem with your phone's operation once you dismiss the notice. If you turn off error reporting you won't even see the report. Mine does it intermittently, but it doesn't affect how my phone operates. Very common with this phone and usually shows up after you install some shell mod or two. I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: "A Problem Has Occured with Services.exe"
Yeah, after researching here and at XDA, and my 3rd (or 4th...I've lost count) hard reset, I've decided to just turn off the error reporting. It was annoying because it would load 2 or 3 times in a row, so I can only hope I don't have a big problem later down the line that I should actually "report".

Re: "A Problem Has Occured with Services.exe"
Doing it 1 app at a time would take too long...it will be faster to utilize the binary search algorithm..aka you got 88 apps..install the first 44 of them and see if it conflicts... if its fine...install 66 apps..if it fails install 22 apps
Code:
44 and so on...at this rate you will find the culprit in 7 flashes rather then 88 lol |
