Re: When are they ever going to make a better WM PDA?
Its gonna be tough...M$ merged windows mobile inti the windows embedded tree , while some phones are coming out there they are not high end...
Right now windows embedded is aimed at businesses..since sprint is CDMA chances are the manufacturers won't even bother making CDMA versions and Sprint will most likely not market them either... your best bet aside from going GSM is to wait till TD-LTE is adopted and hope for an TD-LTE phone >.> (this will be like 2012) |

ummm NEVER?? WM is dead, did you not get the Memo OP??? the Fathom is probably the last WM device.. as far as MS in concerned, there is no WM anymore anyways...
so your asking for a new device for a platform that has been discarded by the OS maker really.. its WP7 or android, or a bs phone... take your pic |

most have reported little to no battery life decrease. zero reports of any damage so far. pffffft...I have had my desktop pc oc'ed with high core voltage for 5 years now with no problems... |
Re: When are they ever going to make a better WM PDA?
WP7 FTW.
At least in my book. We'll see... Droid people seem to love their phones, iPhoners love theirs, BlackBerryers theirs and I hope to love mine. p. |
Re: When are they ever going to make a better WM PDA?
It shouldn't kill battery life...the OC app states it does not change the voltage...but heat will probably increase..best bet is to get a metal case to absorb the heat I guess? (if its a worry)

Re: When are they ever going to make a better WM PDA?
WM is rapidly dying IMO. Developers are focusing more on Android and iPhone, in the last 5 years I've used WM, I've never seen a carrier (any carrier) advertise a Windows Mobile device - not even M$. iPhone has commercials, Google has commercials, Verizon has "Droid" camains (and Blackberry camaigns). Not WM. Every WM phone I've had has ended up with problems running slow, crashing, etc... I get a new phone with better specs, and nope. Same sh*t. slow. unresponsive.
Nobody, not even Microsoft, is taking a serious interest in fixing and making a seriously reliable OS. WP7 looks like a copy of the iPhone - M$ style, and I'm almost certain it will have an abundance of problems. Remember when Vista came out? New OS, not a build from XP. And most people (not all), hated it. (hated). Some people (myself included) ut up with it's bugs until they were worked out. So I think WM is a lost cause. TP2 is an awesome phone. HD2 is an awesome phone. It's WM that's makes them bad. |

Wow Blazer... WM IS pretty much dead. Microsoft will no longer support it. And developers fled due to the lack of support and because WP7 is not backwards compatible. However WP7 is right around the corner and developers are quickly jumping on board. Cuz they're getting paid. How is Wp7 a copy or iPhone? Not even a bit similar. If anything ... iphone looks like android looks like blackberry OS6 looks like nokia os... A screen full of icons. Wp7 has tiles and hubs and menus and submenus. Totally different look, flow and feel. You wanna see microsoft Wm7 commercials??? give it a month or two... Microsoft has millions to throw at this. p. |
