Phone won't rotate when I slide keyboad out
 

Yesterday I took my phone into Sprint for an issue I was having so they replaced my screen and my keyboard from another TP2... that fixed my initial issue, but now when I slide the keyboard out, the phone won't rotate into landscape mode. They noticed this and ordered me a replacement but it wont get here until Tuesday. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix? like did they forget to make a connection while replacing the screen/keyboard?

I thought I could wait until tuesday and live with it but it's been a day and it's already driving me crazy ](*,)

Can't remember for sure, but there's either a physical or a magnetic switch that is supposed to get activated when the keyboard is slid out. Either way, the tech didn't get it right when they swapped out parts.

wow that sucks! sorry to hear... try having it turn manually?

There used to be a program, i think it was called abexpress or something, where you could set buttons to do whatever you want (like rotate the screen).

There is a reg edit you can do that should get you by....

HKLM / System / GDI / Rotation / HideOrientationUI

Then change 1 to 0

After you set this, go to Settings/Personal/Buttons and change "Send Key (Hold)" to <Rotate Screen>

A press and hold of the Send button will rotate your screen.

There are a couple of cabs floating around ppcg to get this done of you don't want mess with the registry....
