TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
My TP2 with the latest MightyRom keeps getting partially wiped. This has happened 3 times in the last 4 days.
At first, the phone stops synching with the exchange server. It then becomes unresponsive completely after about an hour or two. When I reboot it, the orange windows startup screens stays on for an extra long time, around 5 minutes or so. Once it comes back up, all of my Exchange settings are gone, including contacts, calendar, and emails. All of my installed programs are also gone. The only remaining items seem to be my hotmail and gmail accounts. Someone please help. |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Try reflashing your phone (and then do a master reset)... I'm running MR and haven't had those issues.

Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
I agree, maybe you got a back DL from the server. I would try and redownload hard reset and then reflash and hard reset again.
There are hundreds if not thousands of people that are running Mighty Rom and haven't had the problem. Good Luck! |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Task 29
Flash again. |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Ok, thanks. I will try to re download and flash again. I have already reflashed it twice, but it was with the same download. For the Master reset, that is just going in and doing a "Clear Storage?

Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
master reset = clear storage =hard reset
all the same thing. i always do it once after a flash. |
{ME TOO} Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Hey, did this work? I have a Verizon TP2 and I have been seeing this issue over and over. It would work fine for 2-8 hours, then I would see the following:
I'd been using MightyRom 052510 without any issue. My problems started when I upgraded to Full Force. However, once it started, it happened with whatever ROM I flashed after that (MightyRom Official, the 052410, or the MR2 upgrade fixed by Mr. X). In desperation I re-locked my ROM and flashed the MR2 update. I also had to get a new authentication key from VZW's phone support. Maybe that was my issue? I really want to run MightyRom Full Force. I'd like to be moderately sure I'm not going down the rabbit hole again before I try the upgrade.... |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
for both of you (OP and guy above) try either to task 29 and then flash the desired rom again or flash the stock 6.1 rom and remain there.

all i can say op is do a flash 29. sounds like you got a bad dl. try again. are you restoring data contacts anything after a flash? |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
agree, task29/reflash/clearstorage
|
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
It happened with 6.1 ROMs also. Seems like it happened no matter what ROM I tried. Sounds like task 29 is the way to go.
Thanks for the feedback. I will follow-up with results. |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Okay, a month and a half later and I finally got around to doing this, and....
SUCCESS! Looks like task29 was what I needed. Here's my upgrade process:
Thanks again everyone! |
Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
i think running task 29 before and after stock is unnecessary because a similar process is done as the stock rom is being flashed. task 29 is for flashing from custom rom to custom rom. ive never done task 29 and havent had any serious problems.with my old TP that was a different story.

Re: TP2/MightyRom getting wiped?
Okay, that would explain things.
My problems started when switching from one custom ROM to another. Even reverting to an earlier custom ROM wouldn't fix things. Ultimately I went back to the stock ROM. Based on what eric is saying, that did about the same thing as task29, so that's probably why things worked with the stock ROM. In my procedure above, I used task29 before installing a custom ROM. I'll probably do that in the future regardless of whether the ROM I'm replacing is stock of custom. However, since I'm up and running of MightyRomFF, I probably won't need to do that any time soon. |
