Any update on the Screen of Death?
 

I basically was able to prevent the black screen of death on my old TP2 by keeping basically no more than 50 texts stored. I just got a replacement in, and with absolutely no texts, SoD. Has this been solved yet? I did a search but didn't see a fix. Thanks.

Hard to avoid on a stock ROM, I suggest going with a custom ROM like Energy, MightyROM, MR X or VIN... So far they have been able to avoid the "sleep of death" in their ROMs

Stock Sprint 6.5 ROM here... No problems since I got my replacement unit after an unresolveable black screen of death issue.

I've gotten an SOD on every 6.5 rom I've tried,tho it was only when the TP2 would fall asleep during a frozen sms section it was still quite annoying. I got tired of it and the ram leaking issues that I went to a 6.1 rom with sense 2.5 I would recommend u do the same as there are no differences in features between the high builds of 6.1 and normal 6.5 with only a slight difference between 6.5.x.

Hmm, I do like 6.5 and I'm pretty terrible at flashing roms, I guess I'll hold out hope. Thanks so far for the input.

maybe the only difference between 6.5 and the high 6.1 builds is how the start menu looks and there are absolutely no SODs or SMS hang issues. the rom im using is the blackout rom whichh can be found in the upgrades section. but u have to flash the stock 6.1 rom first
