Can you add custom smiley face in text messaging?
 

hello guys i'm trying to add custom smiley faces to my text messages. I'm using stock wm sprint rom on my tp2 and I had a question if anyone has tried this or not? Wanted to add my own smiley faces so the people i send text to also can see it.

nope.. now i think theres some 3rd party messaging applications that can do this for you though.. but not arcsoft

if you send your sms something like ym, you can use your smiley face.

you can use sms2.0 but i didnt see the point an uninstalled it.. google it.. i think i found it in openmarket

You can send the smileys all you want, but wouldn't the person receiving them have the have the same software installed to see them the same way that you do?

not necessarily the same software...their messaging app just need to be able to show the smileys as well.

If you go to sym on the keyboard they are in there and I have sent texts with them and they do show

There's an SMS program in the Microsoft Marketplace that allows some customization. I didn't take too much time to verify the smileys but you may want to check out the Marketplace.

What does it matter if you can send custom smiley's if when the receive is not able to see them or they look like this *:>)@

While you think your being cute the receiver is just confused! haha
