Phone will not Connect; stuck "dialing"

Bought my VZW TP2 in Dec. and treated it very well since. Left it in the truck while I was moving 2 days ago and now it will not get past "dialing" when I try and call someone. I had MightyRom on the phone, but I have now reflashed stock and relocked. VZW support cannot fix and told me they will not honor the warranty since it was sold on EBAY to me. What is HTCs warranty program and has anyone else had this problem?

VZW doesnt have to honor "warranty", only for first 30 days...the manufacturer, HTC, holds a warranty for one year.. dealing with HTC is not pleasant from what ive read.. send it in at your own cost, they hold it for 1-3 weeks, and most of the time send same phone back w/ the issues still showing..

im guessing you dont have insurance??

and this is why it says do not store above 120 degrees.. leaving it in your car for long periods of time, during the summer...probably not your brightest idea lol j/k

I'm not comfortable with a 330 dollar phone in my pocket while I carry heavy things throught tight corridors. I would expect it would +not have lasted the day in my pocket. Anyway, I would be supprised if the ambient temp. ever got close to 120*F as the windows were down on a 85*F day. But, I suppose in direct sunlight this is possible. It's a bit dissapointing that HTC phones can take such little abuse. From the day I received it I have been concerned about it's construction and needless to say I will think twice before I buy another.

How hot was it in your car when you left it in there? Was it in direct sun light?

I've left my phone in the car, but not in direct light. In the glove box or some other box in the car.

It shouldn't be THAT easy for it to get blown up. Did you hard reset a few times? Did you bang on it a bit? Sometimes tough love works best!
