Can not seem to delete files on my miniSD card while it's in the phone
 

Thanks for visiting my humble thread.

I have a touch pro 2 on sprint and it has served me quite well. I am a rom flashing junkie and have built my own; as well as used almost every rom available.

This problem happens on both WM 6.1 and WM 6.5; although I'm currently using the EnergyROM cookie edition.

I have an 8gb kingston miniSD that I use on a daily basis for songs, movies, tv etc. Whenever I delete a file using file explorer, it show asks for confirmation and then the file is gone. If I check back after a soft reset though, the file is once again there. Or, if I put the minisd into my computer... the file is there again as well.

I recently reformated my memory card because it appeared there were some 'ghost files' taking up approx 3gb of space.

I use win7 and Ubuntu, realizing that Ubuntu has trouble sometimes deleting files from the win7 formatted minisd.

lmao.. i dunno bro.. anything you need on it backup on pc then format sd card i guess.. there is an easy solution to 95% of problems in the world.. just might not be what you want to do or you may try to complicate things.

eXuRo... 41 and counting.

I would try reformating the card using the phone's reformat tool.
Secondly I would try using Total Commander instead of file explorer. And Third of all... I would try a different card as your's might be failing and you don't want to loose sensitive data.

While I do prefer using file explorer, total commander seems to have fixed my issues.

The failure of my 8gb minisd is certainly a given. Thankfully, everything important on it is backed up. In the next couple of weeks, I'll be picking up a 16gb card since they've finally come down in price. It'll certainly be nice to have such a high ceiling for my music/video.

i agree.. im picking up a 16g mem card this weekend :D then i can hide out at work and watch a movie lmao!!

Sometimes I can't delete files on my sd card after running Android. Well it will actually delete the files but they still appear there until I go out of the folder and then back into the folder. Only happens sometimes though, weird.
