So my flex cable went bad, I ordered a new one to replace it. After putting the cable in the LCD still didn't power up but the keys and touch sensor still worked. I left the phone on my desk and after about 30 min the screen powered on for about a minute then turned off. I was baffled but left it alone again( it did this 3 times). The third time the screen powered up it stayed on and worked for 2 days with zero problems. After that it went off again so I took it back apart several times trying to remedy the problem. Im assuming there must be a short somewhere. I know this is something hard to diagnose without more information but what *could* cause this is what I am asking. Any help/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
