Ok, what do i do after downloading the "Enable Tethering Stealth Mode" file?
 

Ok, what now? I downloading the file to my phone and it asked to restart. The phone restarted, now what do I do to have my laptop connect to my phone?

From phones programs, start Internet sharing app, plug in with usb cable, and tap connect...thats it

I keep getting an error message...it says vision username or password incorrect?

And if there is only 1 link to download, why is everyone giving me a free wifi router download also?

i never got it to work ...what works even better is the htc wifi router cab. do a search it works awesome and you dont need a cable.

Unistall that cab...soft reset...install attached cab, soft reset. go to programs, start internet sharing app,click connect and then tether with USB cable and thank X and Mike

Yeah, You dont need a cable, but youre going to need spare batteries cuz wifi drains em quick. Better? prolly not

Error Code 67 Your pcs vision user name/password incorrect or something like that

Try it this way then...Plug in usb to phone and to comp. A quick menu will appear on your phone...select internet sharing. Click connect. Do the steps in exact order

Use TotalCommander to check/alter these registry values

- Enable USB Teathering -
1. Go to: [HKLM\Services\CMGuardian]
2. Create a new DWORD Value called "Flags" and set the value data to "4"
(if it is already there then skip)
3. Softreset
4. Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
5: Delete the "isext.dll" entry
6. Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
7. Change "ForceCellConnection" from "PhoneAsModem" to "Sprint"
8. Softreset
**You should now be able to use ICS, but make sure your data connection is already
intialized prior to using (open a web browser of check your mail) or you may be
asked for a user name and password.**

What Plan are you on with Sprint? if you are on the simply everything Unlimited plan then it wont work. Sprint doesn't allow any tethering at all if you are on the unlimited plan. That is the data message you get from them when you try and thether with that plan.
Your best bet is to use the wifi tether. its very easy. Download the app, install, run and follow the on screen directions. its very easy to do as well.

Thanks kevintmr for the registry changes that made it work. For those who want to edit the registry, download phm regedit if you don't have it and it's pretty self explanatory on how to make the changes.

When opening internet sharing, do you select phone as modem or sprint for network connection?

This doesnt seem to be true in my case. I have everything data and im able to tether fine.

If you get error code 67, you can try reprovisioning your device. Some roms have a standalone application for this (MR and Energy do for sure), otherwise Google will help you out ;)

this is totally FALSE info.. ive been on unlimited plan since available, umm few yrs now, and ive been tethering for the last 3 years strong.. 10,20,30GBs a month even

that is what I was told my sprint CSR, back when I had the simply everything unlimited plan when it first came out about 2 years ago. They told me that thethering was available for the other plans but when i switched over and couldnt tether anymore thats what they told me. That was just my experience with that same error code that the OP was getting.

Sprint CSR knows absolutely nothing, believe me. :evil4:
The thing is, if you can use the data on your phone, you can tether it, and Sprint won't know if it's directly from your phone or your computer.
