Sending text while international

Any Sprint users having any luck sending texts while international? Receive fine and no problems with data or wifi. Sprint says its a TP2 issue. Looks like it has something to do with always wanting to append the phone number with +1 dialing even if global dialing turned off... just my guess. Sprint techs are stumped. Need unlimited international data back.

It's sad that unlimited international data was just discontinued right before my trip out of the country this year. It's one of the major reasons I stayed with sprint this year (well, ok, that, and their service, support, price, etc)

Let me know if you hear any news on intl data returning in any form.

I appreciate the responses. But GV solution only works if unlimited data... used to text via skype already. And there are no issues texting on CDMA. Only appears to be an issue while international GSM. Must be a programing issue in the TP2.
