different times?!?!?
 

I have different times between my text messages and my home screen. Usually my text messages have a time ahead of the actual time. Running winmo 6.5, no roms or anything. What's going on?

The phone time is on your carrier's time server which is in direct correlation to your phone. Text messages do not have a direct correlation due to them being sent in packets over multiple routes. The times may be close much of the time but most often it is not the same as the time on the phone.

Same goes for email.

Are you roaming when you get the texts? Mine will show hours ahead for texts if I'm roaming.

agreed...i work on a university campus and my phone goes into roaming in a lot of the building and my received txts are usually stamped about 5 hours ahead.

this helped me. I didnt have this registry key and when i added it, it forced it to show at the time i recieved the text. The only thing is if your phone is off, when u turn it back on any texts you receive will all show as received at the same time.
