Where are opera configuration and favorites files?
 

I've recently upgraded my ROM to WM 6.5 and am in the process of restoring my apps & configurations.

But where are Opera favorites and confuguration files in WM 6.5?
They used to sit in \Windows\Opera 9 as opera.ini and opera6.adr respectively, but neither file is to be found under Opera 9 folders in WM 6.5.

sounds like you're usin Opera 10. can you confirm what version you're usin?

Just as razor said sounds like Opera 10, which usually defaults to \Program Files\Opera Mobile 10\profile

yep,
and the favorites are in Program Files\Opera Mobile 10\profile\datastorage\2\all.dat

I'm sure it's still Opera 9. I'm using Verizon stock rom 6.5.
I don't see \Opera Mobile 10 folder under Program FIles. I do see \Opera 9 folder under \Windows.

So, back to my original question: where do the configuration files go?

well, i'm not sure what you're doing wrong. i have opera.ini and opera6.adr in my \Windows\Opera9\ folder. What are you using to browse the files? Computer or file explorer or total commander or resco...?

Whenever I go to jump to a new ROM this is how I insure I can keep my favorites and not have to resign into every site:

File Explorer--My Device--Program Files--Opera Mobile 10

Once in the Opera mobile 10 folder, you will see two items, they are:

"profile"
"Opera10-armv4i"

Just copy the "profile" out of the Opera Mobile 10 folder and place it on your SD card (I usually create a folder called "Backups" on my SD card).

Now you can Flash to your new ROM, and once everything is loaded, go retrieve your "profile" folder, and paste it over the default one in the Opera Mobile 10 folder on the Device.

and just like that Presto, all of your favorites and saved information is back where is needs to be.
