Is MortScript Safe to Use?

I know this is used a lot around here and it is being used on the over-clocking attempt from XDA Developers. But every time I download a copy I get warnings about spyware from McAfee. Is this McAfee overkill, or should I be concerned? Maybe any scripting kicks off an alert.

Microsoft Security Essentials says it is OK, but a scan on Virus Total gives more warnings.

I would like to overclock this sucker, but being cautious.

I wouldn't worry about it. That's the problem with signature based scanning, false positives are unavoidable. I've been using mortscript for years and no issues as of yet. Although a malicious script could be written, the mortscript interpreter itself is harmless.

Thanks. I have gotten more and more paranoid from listening to the Security Now podcast on the TWIT network....
