NetworkAcc Mobile Network Accelerator Question

Its Free App Friday at Handango. Today you can download "NetworkAcc Mobile Network Accelerator" for free.
Free download available 'til midnight:
http://www.handango.com/content/Free...ampaign=FAFACC

I downloaded this app, installed it according to the included manual. I then tethered my laptop to my Touch Pro 2. Ran a couple tests via www.speedtest.net and was very disappointed to learn that the data download speed increased by ONLY 0.5 Mb/s (from 1Mb/s to 1.5Mb/s).

I am with Telus Mobility, I see a lot of posts with speeds way faster than mine (on other Carriers). Anyone here having better luck with this app?

How disapointing... I wonder how much they were selling this for.
Thanks for the heads up.

looks like normally 14.99. I installed it today and did not really see any difference.... back to my saying for improved speed with the Interwebs is all about signal signal and signal...........

That's an expensive 0.5 Mb/s gain.

Ya, it is. but since it was free I thought I would give it a try, I am pretty sure I am going to be uninstalling it.
