how to get a verizon tp2 to work with both verizon & tmobile?
 

is it possible to have a verizon tp2 work on tmobile when the tmobile sim is inserted, and when removed work on verizon? kinda like a hotswap kind of thing? thanks

wow, ok so, essentially you need to download the unlocker/pay for it as that is how things work in the world. then since it appears you are on verizon you will need to track down either a prepaid sim from t mobile, or get a prepaid phone thru t-mobile and then pull the sim out and put it into your phone. that thread will show you and answer all your questions....

right on, I have the tp2 upgraded, so i got the unlocker, but I thought verizon had to allow the phone to be used by unlocking somehow for world use? I have/can get a sim no problem for tmobile. I just not sure if popping it in will work. thanks

you dont have to do any of that. all you have to do is call verizon and tell them you're going to travel abroad and they will give you the sim unlock code. once you enter it, the verizon tp2 will be unlocked for gsm carriers in the US and overseas. you dont have to pay for any unlocker. sorry if you already paid. more info here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=91599
