Facebook Picture Update
 

Hey did anyone ever figure out a SIMPLE solution to having the facebook pictures update on its own? for the android, there is that syncmypix program but is there anything like that out for WM? like right now all my pics are all outdated and I dont know where they are saved to? anybody know where they save to? so I cna go in and delete them? anyways, let me know if anybody has found a way, the ways that these guys have been answering with sound like it's time consuming and nobody would want to do that with a contact list of atleast 500+ lol. thanks peoples!

Are you talking about the picture for each of your FB contacts updating in the contacts list of the phone? If so, that should happen when you enter your ID and Password in Contracts for linking to FB. Works for me at least. Mine update on their own.

hey CoryNat, that's exactly what im having a problem with. I tried the username and password thing and I even turned it off and then turned it back on to see if any changes would be made. but all the facebook contact pictures that i have are saved somewhere on my phone and it keeps using that same one. do you know where it saves to?

How do you initially get your contacts onto the phone? I know Outlook photos overwrote my contact pics when I first tried it. Now I use MS My Phone and don't have that issue. Once you get logged into the FB link for contacts do your contacts status updates start appearing? For some reason on some ROMs everything goes on its own from the start and others I have to go back to the FB link tab/screen and click on a thing at the top that says Link Accounts or something like that. The stock Sprint ROM was like that as well.

The pictures are stored in: My Device\Windows\FBContacts

If you go to the settings tab, click Data services, then click on Facebook (not the on/off - on the name), are the "Download data automatically" and "download data when roaming" checked ??? If not check those.

Other thing you can try is go to the People Tab, click All People, then move the slider over to the 4th icon (Updates and Events), click Menu, Update Now.

Another idea is if you do "add new contact" and then scroll down and select "Associate with Facebook account", then press "Refresh" it updates all of the pictures...but not sure if it works for FB Friends that are already linked in your contacts...I dont think it does but you can try it.

alright, i seen that folder FBContacts but there were only 3 images there. I DID use OUTLOOK as my first time and i think they saved the pictures from there but where do i go from outlook to find those pictures so I can delete them and maybe start off new? I think we're getting somewhere now. because they keep showing the same old picture from when i was using outlook and it saved them somewhere but im not sure where?

ok i found the problem... when i click on the image when i go to edit the contact, it lets me choose like facebook, outlook... etc... how do i erase all the pictures from outlook? where would i go? step by step
